Our lives are filled with constant stimulation, distraction, and daily stressors. These factors contribute to increased cortisol (the stress hormone) and keep us in a constant state of fight or flight. Over time, without the ability to self regulate and to return to rest and digest mode, our physical and metal health becomes compromised. Eventually we find our health and happiness declining. Meditation has been proven effective to reduce cortisol levels and increase GABA (the calm response) and serotonin (neurotransmitter for happiness). Join meditation teacher Teresa Van Eyk for this series and move towards a greater state of health and joy.
