Paddle board yoga on Goshorn Lake is a Saugatuck summer experience you don't want to miss! Nestled away and protected by the dunes, this no wake lake is a pristine location for SUP (Stand Up Paddle board) Yoga. No experience is necessary. This 90 minute class includes instruction on basic paddle skills and SUP yoga for all levels. $39 includes board rental. We offer a $15 discount if you'd like to attend and bring your own board. Turn R out of SATYA YOGA on BUTLER ST

Turn L on to 64th ST

At the stop sign (end of the road) turn L to the Lake

Is Paddle board Yoga for advanced students only?
No. All levels are welcome, even the absolute beginners. Just like our studio classes we offer lots of instructions and modifications in poses to help you make the practice more suitable for you. Our boards are super stable and some of the best boards available. They are rather steady.
Am I going to get wet?
A little wet is inevitable. When you launch your board you'll be in water just past your knees, once on the board we stay pretty dry. The boards are high quality and very stable. Most students stay dry and do not fall in. Some jump in to cool down. Don't worry, learning to fall is part of your training.
What should I wear?
For 9:00am session you may want to dress in layers. By 11:00am and beyond the sun is out. We recommend dressing in cool clothing and consider sunscreen if you burn easier. Especially fotr the 1:00pm sessions. Yoga shorts, 3/4 leggings, bath suits, tank tops, t-shirts are all appropriate attire. Dress comfortably. Wearing snug sunglasses on the water works for most people. Bring yours if you'd like.
Why should I try Paddle board Yoga?
Developing the skill of yoga is not only crafted on the mat but can and should be infused with every aspect of our life. Yoga is defined as stopping the constant fluctuations of the mind (Y.S. 1:2). By cultivating stillness in the mind we learn to move through the practice on the water with stability and grace. It could also be said that taking on a joyful adventures that we want to try but also fear, is one of the most fun ways to seek freedom and liberation.
